PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND AGILE

What is Stakeholder?

Anyone who can affect a project or is affected by it.

In plain English

Stakeholders include sponsors, customers, team members, suppliers and regulators. Good project management identifies them early, understands what each wants and how much influence they have, and plans how to communicate with and involve them. A common tool is a grid of power and interest.

Example

A department that will use the new system is a stakeholder even if it is not paying for the project.
